Research interests:
I am interested in polymer physics in nanoscale systems, especially polymer dynamics that influence the properties and performance of nano-engineered materials. My doctoral thesis work focused on understanding the dynamics of polymers in confined nanoporous spaces within a randomly-close packed particle packing using ellipsometric techniques. Currently, I am working on mapping the relationships between polymer structure, dynamics in nanopores, and the reaction kinetics in a catalytic depolymerization reaction. The goal of the work is to understand polymer dynamics close to catalytic interfaces to inform the better design of catalysts and upcycling processes.
Bio:
I grew up in India and went to NIT Trichy for undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering. I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of chemical engineering research and the ability to apply core principles to real-world problems. For my graduate studies, I was in the wonderful city of Philadelphia for 6 years in the lab of Prof. Daeyeon Lee. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading fiction. Other things I like are watching movies and tv shows and playing badminton.
