B. S. Chemistry / Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan (2018)
Research interests:
I am a postdoctoral researcher coadvised by Prof. Rachel Segalman and Prof. Glenn Fredrickson. My research focuses on understanding the structures of mixed ion-electron conductors and designing hierarchical materials for water purification.
Bio:
I grew up in Beijing China dreaming to be admitted to Hogwarts. When that didn’t happen, I made the obvious choice to major in Chemistry in my undergrad, and pursue graduate studies in Molecular Engineering. Before joining UCSB, I received my Ph.D. degree at the Pritkzer School of Molecular Engineering, University of Chicago (de Pablo & Rowan labs). In my graduate studies, I combine modeling and experiments to design stimuli-responsive microparticles for controlling the fluid properties of dense suspensions. In my spare time, I enjoy tap dancing, classical concert and listening to podcasts.
